No Cameras, No Recordings
Our telescopes are purely optical devices for observation. They cannot capture photographs, videos, or audio recordings. They are not connected to the internet and do not transmit any data. This is a key distinction between AltiVista's optical viewing experience and digital tracking systems.
Legal Compliance (Portugal / EU)
We work according to the principle of data minimization and in accordance with the GDPR. We also respect privacy and legal requirements in Portugal, in particular the protection of private life under Article 26 of the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic. We maintain compliance with all applicable EU and Portuguese regulations.
VistaWalks — Your Responsibility
VistaWalks provides GPS-guided route suggestions and cultural content for educational purposes only. We do not guarantee safety, route accuracy, accessibility, or fitness for any particular purpose. All walks are undertaken entirely at the participant's own risk and responsibility.
Payment Safety
All payments are processed securely by Stripe, a certified payment processor. We do not store full card details on our servers. Your payment information is encrypted and protected according to PCI DSS standards. Stripe is responsible for the security of your payment data.
No Third-Party Tracking
We do not use advertising networks, affiliate links, or third-party profiling tools to track your behavior for marketing purposes. The only analytics service we use is Google Analytics, which is optional and requires your consent. We never sell your data to advertisers or marketing agencies.
